Our templates are built on WordPress — one of the most powerful and user-friendly content management systems out there. Plus, it’s free to use! And even though it’s powerful, you don’t need to write any code to make your website shine. A hosting plan is required to use our templates on WordPress, and all that information is provided to you step-by-step in your onboarding guide. Please note that our templates are not compatible with Squarespace, Wix, or other platforms.

You will need a domain name, webhost (like GoDaddy, Bluehost or Cloudways), and a WordPress.org installation on your host.

WordPress.org is the official website for WordPress, an open-source content management system (CMS) that is free. It is a widely used platform for creating and managing websites and blogs.

Once you download the free software and add it to your web host, you will have complete control over your website’s design, functionality, and content. The platform is highly flexible, offering a diverse range of plugins – the most of any website creation service – that enhance your site’s features and appearance.

It’s important to note that WordPress.org is different from WordPress.com, which is a paid hosting service version and is not as flexible or functional as WordPress.org.

We use use free Google fonts in every design. The template comes with access to the Google font library so that you can easily change the fonts you use on your site based on your brand. If you’d like to use a custom font, that can easily be added to your site for your use.

As for the photos, some of our templates featured free stock images that you can keep and use while others are premium images from Canva. We always suggest that you switch out images for your own or stock images that match your brand.

In your email onboarding series you will get an in-depth but quick rundown of what a domain and hosting is, why they are important, and our suggestions on where to purchase them based on our extensive experience. We suggest getting your domain first, then securing your hosting and connecting your domain to your hosting (and we provide tutorials for all these steps).

Yes! WordPress provides a solid foundation for implementing SEO best practices and offers a range of plugins and themes that can further enhance your website’s search engine visibility.

It is primarily a content management system, and it excels at organizing and managing content. It allows you to control the structure of your website’s URLs, making it easier to create clean, keyword-rich URLs that are favored by search engines. The Divi theme builder, which is the ultimate drag-and-drop builder that your template uses to give it all it’s bells and whistles can be accessed on a desktop computer, laptop, tablet or mobile phone to update your website.

That said, for the best user experience, we suggest editing your website pages on a desktop or laptop computer.

You will receive focused tutorials on how to edit the elements on the pages of your template and if you can’t find directions somewhere, just email the support email on your receipt and directions will be sent on exactly what you need. Easy as that!
